​Satellite Beach is a coastal city in Brevard County, Florida, nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Banana River. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, it had a population of 11,226 residents. Incorporated in 1957, the city spans approximately 4.3 square miles, with about 2.9 square miles of land and 1.4 square miles of water. Its eastern border is the Atlantic Ocean, and the Indian River lies to the west. The city is located on a barrier island directly south of Patrick Space Force Base and is part of the South Beaches region. Satellite Beach boasts 7.7 miles of shoreline, including 2.8 miles of Atlantic Ocean beach, 1.3 miles along the Banana River, and 3.6 miles of navigable canals connected to the Banana River. ​
